The Belmont Forum's Resilience Collaborative Research Action (CRA) is a call for proposals focused on transdisciplinary research about vulnerability and resilience management for socio-environmental systems in exposed territories.
The call aims to foster risk science developments aligned with sustainability science, knowledge co-production, and informed governance, particularly in highly vulnerable areas.
It will accept proposals that address at least two of the following areas:
Better assess risks of increasing complexity with global change
Pay specific attention to exacerbated vulnerabilities in highly exposed territories
Develop innovative solutions for Disaster Risk Reduction

The Belmont Forum's Ocean 2 CRA supports transdisciplinary research addressing global ocean challenges and contributes to the Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. Projects are expected to last 36 months and involve research consortia with participants from multiple countries and disciplines, including societal partners. Proposals should focus on at least one of three key areas:
Area 1: Biodiversity Conservation and Nature-Based Solutions
Area 2: Ocean-Biodiversity-Climate Integration
Area 3: Nature Futures, Ocean Governance, and Ethics for Sustainability

Tropical Forests Call (Forests)

The Belmont Forum is pleased to announce the launch of a Collaborative Research Action "Tropical Forests: Global Implications and Pressing Actions" (Forests 2024) in partnership with the G20.
The CRA Forests 2024 aims to coordinate actions and projects with a transdisciplinary approach to develop innovative solutions to the challenges faced in tropical forest regions, Amazonia being the largest and most populated. Acknowledging the differences in governance, cultural diversity, and territorial configuration, this CRA spans tropical forests worldwide that face similar challenges.
Proposals submitted to this CRA should encompass elements from at least two of the three areas listed below:
Area 1: Reduce deforestation, and promote sustainable development and locally-led economies
Area 2: Ecosystem Function, Connectivity, and Climate Change Science
Area 3: Environmental Justice and Governance
